Fagen, Inc. was awarded the balance-of-plant construction for a total of 201.4 MW involving two adjacent wind farms in Floydada, Texas. Cotton Plains Wind (50.4MW) will be part of a hybrid energy system (wind and solar) which will supply energy to Fort Hood, the largest active-duty armored post in the United States. Old Settler Wind (151.2 MW) will generate enough clean electricity to power an additional 51,000 average U.S. homes. The projects together consists of 84 - 2.4 MW GE wind turbines.

Severe wet weather was encountered through much of the initial foundation and roads segment of the project. The Fagen team was still able to receive all turbine deliveries and complete both projects ahead of schedule.
